We had to explore the Great Palace Of Bangkok.

We worked co-operatively on this DLO. 

Describing the Scene

Years ago, there was a school right next to a farm. One morning, a little boy saw a burglar coming towards them with a knife.  The school children were scared, they ran to hide in the trees, where nobody will know where to find them.  

This is the first paragraph of my narrative. I had to use the clues the were given to me by the image.

This is my 9 timetable, I have been practising every time learning my 9 timetable and now I got a good score.

This is my homework DLO with my partner Charlize, we have been learning about the leaning tower of pisa, me and my partner Charlize have been using the 5w to make it easier to find out the answer faster, me and my partner were sharing our ideas together and then we put them altogether in to our homework DLO.

Kayaking -Trip

Kayaking Trip:

This year springtime was to hot, so I decided to go camping at Hunua falls with my friend Tiare. I talked to my friend Tiare about the camping trip, then she said “yes”. We prepared everything on Thursday, getting ready to go  camping on Saturday morning. On Friday, we decided to have a break and rest so that we will have more energy for the camping trip on Saturday. Finally it was the day that me and Tiare are going camping. We derived all the way to Hunua falls camping area. We finally made to the Hunua falls, we got our kayaking ready to go on the water. Tiare and I were having fun kayaking around the Hunua falls. A strong wind came and blow us down, then our boat when upside down. Then we have to try flipped the boat back to normal again, we try our best to try flipped the boat, but the wind was too strong that time. We waited a little bit longer for the right time to flipped our boat back to normal. Finally the wind went, then we finally flipped our boat back to  normal. We were excited, because we got our boat back to normal, because we thought that we were gonna stuck there forever. Then we when back to our van and packed our stuff get ready to go back home. We got everything ready, then we when safely back home getting ready for dinner.

This is my home learning - where in the world am I homework DLO with my partner Ana. We try our best to find out the answer because some of them was a bit tricky to find out, but we still try our best to find out the answer without coping other's.

This is my group DLO of how to be a scientist, we each have to choose a buddy to work with and help each other, then we all end up with a good DLO.

Baking Soda and Vinegar

This is my partner Jessie science DLO, she uses lot's of picture and step, to show other's how to make baking soda and vinegar step by step. She add arrows to it, so that you can see how it goes.

Oobleck

This is my LS2 science DLO, first we need to choose a buddy to work with, and then we each have to make different one. Then I did Oobleck and my partner did Baking Soda, after we finished we have to shared our DLO with each other, then post it in to our blog.

Planting Pumpkin

Planting Pumpkin

One day, Jack’s friend James invited him to have dinner with their family after school. Jack and James walked together after school to Jack house to have dinner. They had pumpkin soup, it was Jack’s first time eating pumpkin soup.

After the scrumptious dinner,the two boys raced to James’s room. They were so full that they couldn't move.  The next day at school Jack invited James to his house this time.  They finished school early, so they walked to Jack’s house.  Jack remembered that he brought some pumpkin seeds.  The first thing that popped in his mind was to grow pumpkins in his backyard. Jack asked his father if he could help them plant pumpkins at their backyard.

They put the pumpkin seeds inside the hole, and then they covered it with soil all around the pumpkin seeds, then they poured water onto the seeds. They finished planting the pumpkin, then they went back inside and waited for the pumpkin to grow bigger.

Jack, James and the father took good care of the pumpkin seeds they grew everyday, morning and afternoon. They waited for 3 month’s nearly 4, they waited until the pumpkin seeds turn into flower, then turn into pumpkins, and then they have to wait until the pumpkin grew bigger.

Finally after 4 months had past, Jack and his father went to check if the pumpkin was ready.  Had it turned into a real pumpkin.

“Wow”, said Jack. Dad looked at a pumpkin, his dad was surprised too, because the pumpkin was so big and it had turned a beautiful orange colour.

Jack and his father were having trouble trying to get the pumpkin out of the soil, they tried their best and finally it came off. They took the pumpkin inside the house, so that they can make pumpkin soup for their family dinner.

Jack, James and his father were having fun making the pumpkin soup. Jack’s dad was cleaning the pumpkin, then he cut it into big pieces, then he gave them to Jack to cut them into little pieces. They finished cutting the pumpkin, then they added vegetables to it. They finished making the pumpkin soup, then got everything ready for dinner.

This is my pumpkin story, Mrs Kiri Kirkpatrick has shown us 5 picture of a boy and his father planting pumpkin. We had to write a story about the 5 picture but we have to put them in our own word.

Maths Results

 

 Today Cecillia and I had a idea to challenge ourselves to make our maths up to a next level and so we both got 100%. 

Oobleck

Today we make Oobleck with Mrs Kirkpatrick we use corn flour, water and food colouring to make our Oobleck.
